inter-faith outreach ministry (IROM)

Rev. Harrison R. Hill Jr., son of Harrison R. Hill Sr. and Clovita Hill, born on December 22, 1953, and married to Shirley A. Hill for 20 years. Rev. Hill pursued studies in Psychology and Christian Counseling at Liberty University and holds certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He received his license for the Gospel Ministry on March 31, 1999, from Bishop Larry D. Trotter of the Sweet Holy Spirit Full Gospel Baptist Church.

Rev. Hill was assigned to the pastoral role at Inter-Faith Recovery Outreach Ministry in 2002 by Overseer, Chief Apostle Dr. William McCoy of the International Pentecostal Assembly Ecumenical. In June 2017, he was further ordained within the Church of God in Christ by Bishop O.C. Booker.

Inter-faith Recovery Outreach Ministry earned its 501(c)3 status in October 2019.

Community Impact

IROM is significantly impacting our local communities by sponsoring and supporting events and activities designed to make a positive difference in the lives of community members.

  • To support the special needs department at Truman College in Chicago, Illinois, we have fundraised for talking dictionaries to aid visually impaired students. We have also contributed to paying the tuition fees for a veteran attending the college and funded their textbook purchases.
  • Successfully raised $480 and distributed 100 Mother’s Day gift bags to the women at the New Life Church food pantry.
  • We organized two walkathons to benefit the New Life Church food pantry, successfully raising $500.
  • Hosted an ‘Evening in Paris’ event to express gratitude to community members for their support of our organization.
  • During Christmas 2021, the Worker Bees for Jesus team put together 166 gift bags for the residents of Waterford Estates Assisted Living in Hazel Crest, IL.
  • We also sponsored a pre-Thanksgiving concert at Waterford Estate Assisted Living.
  • Previously provided meals to the homeless during Christmas.
  • Donated blankets to the homeless.
